These photos by Aaron Siskind may seem quite simple in terms of what is being taken, but there are so many other elements to these pictures than what it seems. This photo could be totally one dimensional and flat. But, it’s not. You can clearly see the texture of the material captured; it’s almost like you can feel the roughness on your skin. These pictures also show a great example of light and shadow, while it may be quite subtle. Clearly, these photos are shown in black and white, and you can see that some areas are much darker than the areas of others.  This factor contributes greatly to the texture of the object shown. Overall, even the simplest of objects can be transformed into a beautiful piece of artwork.
